Mary is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist with many years of experience working with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder in a range of contexts both locally and internationally.
Dr Deirdre MacManus - Consultant Psychiatrist and Clinical Lead
Deirdre is a consultant psychiatrist and senior clinical lecturer at King’s College London. She is experienced in assessing and treating a wide range of mental health problems from mild to severe, with particular expertise in assessing and treating individuals who have served in the military. She has a special interest in military mental health research and has carried out extensive research into the impact of service on health and well-being of military personnel. She has published widely in this area.
Dr Sue Ferrier - Lead Clinical Psychologist Prison In-Reach Service and Service Co-ordinator
Sue is a chartered Clinical Psychologist with many years experience of treating a wide range of psychological difficulties from mild to complex presentations including dual diagnosis. She has specialist training in trauma focused therapy, including Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing
Dr Sue Forrest – Clinical Psychologist
Sue is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist who has worked in the field of psychological trauma for many years in community mental health teams and specialist trauma mental health services. She has undertaken training in Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and third wave therapies, mainly Compassion Focussed Therapy.
Dr Alyssa Joye – Clinical Psychologist
Alyssa is a Clinical Psychologist with experience of working with a wide range of mental health difficulties, including complex trauma and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. She has experience using a range of trauma focused therapies including trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT), Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and compassion focused approaches.
Rob Henderson - Clinical Social Work Specialist/AMHP
Rob is a registered social worker with experience supporting those with a variety of mental health conditions, particularly complex depression, anxiety and trauma. His personal specialism is in the practical application of mindfulness and compassion focused approaches in daily life. He is also a qualified and practising Approved Mental Health Professional.
Beth Croak, Assistant Psychologist
Beth is an Assistant Psychologist with experience of working in both acute and community mental health settings. As well as her work with clients, Beth has been providing training to various professional groups including paramedics and members of the criminal justice system, to raise awareness of veterans’ mental health.
Leon Culloty, Assistant Psychologist
Leon is an Assistant Psychologist with previous experience of various inpatient and community services in both the NHS and charity sectors; he has been working with the TILS Service since it began in 2017.
Trish Sullivan - Administrator
Trish is an experienced administrator and has been with the service since its inception. She is the first point of contact for telephone queries.
Melissa Drake, Administrator
Melissa has recently graduated with a degree in Psychology. She is an administrator acting as the first point of contact for queries and also carries out data analysis for the London team.
Michael Orr, Registered Mental Health Nurse
Michael is a Registered Mental Health Nurse with extensive practice and managerial experience in hospital, community, prison and other health locations. Within the TILs team, Michael provides an in-reach function within HMP Wandsworth aiming to engage and support the veteran-prisoners through their time in custody and back into the community
