Our Sussex team

Mental health support for armed forces veterans in Sussex
We offer mental health support to all ex-serving members of the British armed forces living in, or registered with a GP in, East Sussex, West Sussex, Brighton & Hove, Surrey, Kent and Medway. The service is provided by the new London and South East NHS Veterans Mental Health Transition, Intervention and Liaison (TIL) Service, an collaboration between Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust.

The Team

Vicki Pattenden - Clinical Nurse Specialist
Vicki is a Mental Health Nurse by background with experience of working within the community and has worked extensively with veterans to stabilise their mental health to be able to move onto psychological therapy. Vicki has an interest around brain injuries, dementia and mental health within the Veteran community. Vicki is currently doing a MSc. Global Military Veteran & Families Studies under Anglia Ruskin University.

Caroline Haig - Clinical Psychologist
Dr Caroline Haig is a Registered Clinical Psychologist with over 10 years of experience of supporting people with emotional, behavioural and relationship difficulties. Caroline offers psychological assessment and treatment and has extensive experience of working with a variety of presentations including low self-esteem, anxiety, depression and PTSD.

Megan French - Assistant Psychologist
Megan has recently graduated in Psychology, criminology and criminal justice studies. Megan supports our veterans with offering stabilisation and grounding techniques when required. She also provides data analysis and assists both Clinical Nurse and Clinical Psychologist on a daily basis.

Elaine Vincent - Administrator
Elaine is an experienced administrator for the South East TILS, she is our first point of contact for the team.
